Thermage CPT is the previous model of Thermage FLX. Thermage FLX has better pain reduction effects and a more sophisticated radiofrequency radiation system, allowing for faster procedures.
Thermage uses radiofrequency energy and targets the dermal layer. Its main effects include skin tightening and wrinkle improvement. On the other hand, Ulthera uses ultrasound technology and primarily targets the SMAS layer for lifting sagging skin.
Thermage FLX uses vibration energy instead of light energy, so the procedure can be performed regardless of skin tone. However, since the skin can become sensitive after the procedure, regular use of sunscreen is recommended.
Unlike older Thermage models, the latest Thermage does not require anesthesia and takes about 40–60 minutes. However, if cream anesthesia is applied, including consultation time, it may take about 1 to 1.5 hours depending on the individual.
In some cases, the effects of the Thermage procedure can be seen immediately after the procedure. However, depending on an individual's collagen regeneration ability, the effects may appear over a period of immediately after the procedure to 3 months.
